Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday January 18th from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Post 1386 VFW and Post 150 American conduct rituals at 12:15 PM.

A funeral service will begin at 1 PM.  Burial to follow in Saint Peter's Cemetery, Kingston.

Gerard A. Geuss Sr, 98, formerly of Nicholas Avenue died Sunday January 14, 2024 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine.   Born June 21, 1925 he was a a son of the late Adam and Mary (Manger) Geuss.

A veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, Gerard  was part of the first wave of the storming of Normandy.  He received the Silver and Bronze Stars, and two Purple Hearts during his tours of duty.  He worked for IBM in Kingston as a Hardware Engineer until retirement.  Gerard was a life member of both the VFW Post 1386 and the American Legion Post 150.


Surviving is his wife, Susan ( King) Geuss;   his sons Gerard Geuss Jr and wife Elizabeth of Batavia , New York, Randall C. Geuss  and wife Jo-Ann of Charleston, South Carolina ( previously from Woodstock New York) , grandchildren  Gerard III, Sada, Elizabeth, Lauren and Jennifer and great-grand children, Gerard IV, Morgan, Adeline, and Anna.

His brothers, George Sr. , John, Adam ,Lawrence and, Richard died previously. He is also pre-deceased by his sisters Anna (Kiwus) , Marie (Conley), Rita (Mayer).
