Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday June 19th from 11  AM until 12 noon.

A funeral service will take place at 12 noon.

Burial will follow in Mt. Marion Cemetery.

Gerard Hubert Richter , passed away at home on Sunday June 15, 2025. He as born in Heerlen, Netherlands on October 28, 1937 a son of Gerardus Hubertus Richter and Catharina VanWoudenberg Richter.

Gerard immigrated to the United States at twenty two years old. He was the former facilities manager at the F.L. Russell Corp. in Mount Marion, New York. He was a member of the Plattekill Reformed Church in Mt. Marion, New York. He was an avid reader of many subjects, always learning and advancing in his jobs by taking additional courses for which he received diplomas and advancements in his career. He was the beloved husband of over forty years to Leila Marie Richter of Lake Katrine, New York.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his former wife and mother of his children Ingrid (Fred) Schink of South Carolina, a son Willett (Kelley) Richter of Charleston, South Carolina a daughter Linda Ellis of Kingston, New York, grandchildren Ryan Richter of South Carolina, Casey (Glen, Jr.) Mitchell of Rhode Island, Kyle (Ilyana) Richter of North Carolina, Becky (Dan) Gauvin of Rhode Island, Emily Ellis of Kingston New York. He is also survived by a sister Saskia.

He was predeceased by his siblings Roelof, Mimmy, Kitty, Jan, Tiny, Bill, Robby and Gerda.
