Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 AM and the service will begin on Monday at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow at Hurley Cemetery.
Glenn D. Hoffstatter, 59,
of Town of Hurley died Wednesday October 18, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Avenue Campus. Born December 12,1963 in Kingston he was the son of the late Lloyd H. and Carol (Schoomaker) Hoffstatter.
Glenn worked at Ulster ARC with his father Lloyd, then he worked as independent contractor who loved to do custom projects and had a special talent for creating unique woodworking designs. He spent the last 15 years of his career as the Building and Code Enforcement officer for the Town of Hurley.
Glenn was an avid sportsman who loved fishing, He spent many hours fly fishing with his family. He was an accomplished skier, and worked as a part-time ski instructor at Killington VT for 10 years. Glenn loved being at the Little League field and then later on the golf course with Nicholas.
Glenn never had regrets, never apologized and lived life fast and loud. He always offered a helping hand wherever he could.
Glenn is survived by his wife Lynne (Rodden) Hoffstatter, his son Nicholas J. Hoffstatter, siblings Lloyd S. Hoffstatter and his wife Kate, Dirk J. Hoffstatter, Mark A. Hoffstatter and his wife Annie, Leslie M. Przekop, Theresa Voightlander and her husband Russell, Sue Kehoe and her husband Keith and Bethany Woodard and her husband Mark. James and Elaine Rodden in laws, brother in law James Rodden, sister in law Kristin, (Steve) Baker and many nieces and nephews also survive.
