Hassel "Junior" Barber

A graveside service will be take place Friday 11 AM at Montrepose Cemetery.

Hassel "Junior" Barber, a longtime Kingston resident died Friday October 20, 2023. He was born August 1, 1946 in Glasco, a son of the late Margaret (Garvin)  and Hassel  Barber, Sr.

Junior worked for many years at IBM in Kingston, he was well known and respected in the area as being an honest man who, on more than one occasion, turned in found wallets and money to the local authorities. Junior was about loving family and friends.

Surviving are his siblings Paul Barber, Roselyn Tention, Victor Tention and an host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Gerald Barber and Larnell "Lonnie" Barber.
