Jack Lewis, 80 , of Liberty Street Kingston passed away Thursday May 29, 2025 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 26, 1944 in Kingston, a son of the late George and Gertrude (Young) Lewis. He was raised in Saugerties before moving to Kingston and attending Kingston High School. He served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his military service, he returned to the area and worked at IBM, SUNY Ulster and Cabrini on the Hudson. He attained his bachelor degree at age forty two also was a basketball coach in the area. He was an avid Boston Celtics, New York Giants and San Francisco Giants fan.

Surviving are his children Nicole Kirby, Jack Lewis Jr. and LaTanya Hill, grandchildren Deondre and D'Avian Kirby, Eli and Emanuel Eliodor. He is also survived by his close friend Al and neighbor Vernon as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Gloria Bartee, Gary Lewis Sr., nephew Shiquan Krouser and grandparents Walter and Lucy Washington.
