Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, May 5th from 3 to 7 PM.
A funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 10 AM Tuesday, May 6.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Jacqueline A. Matthews, 91, former longtime resident of Kingston died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday April 27, 2025 in Cape Coral, Florida where she had been recently residing. She was born August 13, 1933 in Kingston, a daughter of the late James E. and Caroline (Heppner) Quigley.
She was a proud graduate of St. Ursula's Academy. She briefly worked at NY Telephone Company and IBM in Kingston. On November 3, 1956 she married Ronald Matthews and once they had children she became a homemaker. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
She is survived by her children: Michael Matthews, Daniel Matthews, Timothy Matthews and his wife Dolly, Maureen Ciaglo and her husband James, and her son-in-law Clay Harshberger.Loving grandmother of; Heather Morse and her husband Pete, Tara Sanzo and her husband Scott, Kayla Matthews, Stephen Matthews and his fiance Brittany Oakley, Kevin Matthews and his wife Amanda, and Meghan Matthews; Clay David Harshberger and his wife Melissa, Laura Harshberger and her wife, Irene Bunnell, and Matthew Harshberger; Christopher Ciaglo and his wife Nicole , Jillian Ciaglo and Connor Ciaglo; also Becky VanWagenen and her husband Kevin, and Michelle VanWagenen and finance Bryan Gavin. She is also survived by her loving great grandchildren: Finley ,Elliot, Dominic, Bella, Miko, Anthony, Caydance, Lucas, Averie, Ryleigh, Keegan, Kaydon, Kensley, Julianna and Matthew. She also is survived by her granddog Jupiter who she lovingly shared many snacks with. Also survived by a cousin, Doris Bonett, dear friends Delores and Bob Tutt, and Bill Rybak.Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her husband Ronald W. Matthews and children Stephen Matthews, Mary Anne Matthews, Cathy Harshberger, grandson Patrick Jon Ciaglo and brother James E. Quigley, Jr. died previously.
