James Eric Cook

Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday February 3, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

James Eric Cook, 56, of West Hurley died Monday January 22, 2024 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Avenue Campus. Born September 7, 1967 in Rochester, New York he was the son of James R. Cook and the late Rita (Shriver) Cook.

James worked as a Computer Technician for IBM in Poughkeepsie, New York. He graduated from Midlakes High School in Phelps, NY in 1986 and served in the US Army.

In addition to his father James R. Cook he is survived by his husband Peter J. Quick, stepdaughter Marena Quick, and siblings Lauri Parkhurst and Elizabeth Witt  (Aaron). He is also survived by brothers-in-law Ernie (Robin), Donald (Mary), Gordon (Lauri) and Mike (Doreen) Quick and sister-in-law Bonnie Shields as well as many nieces and nephews.
