James S. Douglas

James S. Douglas, 84 years old from Ruby, NY entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2026. He was a retired sheet metal worker of sixty two years for Local Union #38. He loved attending local dirt car racing, listening to and playing bluegrass music, hunting, fishing and all things outdoors. He was a Life Member of the Ruby Rod & Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife Ginnie (Joy) Douglas, son Adam (Roseann), grandson Daniel, sister Chris Morley (Dennis) as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Kim Marie Douglas, mother Margaret (Tetley) Douglas, father John Douglas, sister Barbara Grossbohlin (Arthur), brother Jack Douglas (Joan).

Jim was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was an honest man who was liked and respected by all who knew him.

Jim's wishes are to be cremated with no wake or funeral. He will be laid to rest at the family plot in St. Ann's Cemetery, Sawkill, NY.
