Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday May 21st from 4-7 PM.
Funeral services will be privately held at Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum.
James R. "Jim" Williams, 76, of Kingston died Saturday May 17, 2025 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. He was born July 31, 1948 in Kingston a son of the late William J. Williams and Rosemarie (Dudyk) Williams.
Jim served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Returning home from the service, he was employed at Central Hudson as a lineman and ultimately retiring as a working foreman. He was a Life Member of Ulster Hose Co. 5 and was known to play Santa in Christmas Cheer for Ulster Hose and also his children's events. An avid deer and turkey hunter, Jim was also a fan of NASCAR.
Surviving is his wife of fifty four years Nancy Williams and their three daughters Laurie Fay, Jami Mumley and her husband Rich, and Kristi Dugan and her fiancé Alonzo Davis. Grandchildren Mackenzi Dugan and Kevin Matthew Dugan, siblings William J. Williams and his wife Dolores and Cathy Williams-Gonzalez. Many nieces and nephews also survive as well as Jim's beloved canine companion Teddy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Rosemarie Kiersted and her husband Ronald, a brother-in-law Willie Gonzalez and a son-in-law Joe Fay.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to Ulster Hose Co. 5 or Hudson Valley Hospice.
