James R. "Jim" Willis

James R. "Jim" Willis, 67, of the Town of Ulster died Monday December 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family after a battle with cancer. He was born on July 25, 1957 in Rochester a son of Clarice Willis and the late Richard Willis.

Jim worked for the family precast business which originated in Lima, New York before relocating to the Kingston area and establishing LHV Precast. He currently served as CEO of the company, in charge of production and shipping operations. His work family was his second family, and he always made sure to treat his employees as family. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and camping with his wife Robin, and boating on Lake George where he was a member of the Bolton Landing Marina. He enjoyed motocross with his sons and was dedicated to his family, especially his grandchildren. A talented woodworker, Jim designed and built his own home overlooking the Hudson River. He will be warmly remembered by many as a respected, proud, loving man who always supported his family no matter what.

Surviving is his wife Robin Willis, two sons Kyle Willis and his wife Ali and Dylan Willis, grandchildren Aubree, Carter and Kyle, siblings Robert Willis and his wife Diane, Steven Willis and his wife Megan, nieces and nephews Sofie, Ava, Michael, Samantha, Ryan, Brandon and Hailey.
