A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.

Services will be Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 am.

Inurnment will follow in Wiltwyck Rural cemetery.

JAMES A. LEE, passed away Wednesday October 9, 2024 peacefully at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Jim was a commercial garage door installer for thirty years and was known by everyone as "The Door Man". He later became a custom woodworker and builder. He loved spending time in his workshop. He made many client's visions a reality, if you were his customer, you quickly became a life long friend. He was a member of the Mid Hudson Woodworkers and loved encouraging others to learn the art of woodworking.

Jim was a hard worker, who worked tirelessly to make sure his family was taken care of. He loved gardening (especially his hot peppers) and would spend all winter starting his seeds. No one came to the house without leaving with a box of vegetables, even UPS and FedEx drivers.

He loved his pets, a rescued cat and his dog Dakota, who always knew when he was struggling to breathe, and would cuddle against his chest until he was calm.

He is survived by his wife of twenty four years Debbie. A son James Lee Jr. A daughter in law Jessica DeCicco-Lee and granddaughter Abigail Lee. Brother Robert E. Lee and his wife Lynne. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Father, James  H. Lee, mother Rose Mary Lee and sister Maryann Benson.
