Mrs. Jean Neal of Kingston, NY peacefully passed away at home on August 31, 2024. She was 83. Born on October 23, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Mt. Marion, NY she later moved to Kingston becoming a wife and homemaker. She was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist church and often baked cakes for the bake sale.
Jean was a high-spirited woman that could always make one laugh and her vivacious personality added excitement to any gathering she went, leaving great memories for those that knew her. She made the best out of every situation with unwavering positivity and held steadfast in her beliefs. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, with whom she shared a particularly special bond with.
A bowler for many years, Jean bowled on several leagues throughout the years. Her trophy's filled the basement. An active member at the local Knothole League, she loved to watch her sons and great grandchildren play baseball, never missing a game. Traveling is something else she loved especially with her bowling team, no matter time or place she was ready to go. She will be greatly missed by all but the strength and light she has shone throughout her life will continue to radiate from those she touched.
The devoted wife of Richard T. Neal and caring mother of Richard Neal Jr. ,who both died previously, Jean leaves behind: sons Craig (Lorraine), Paul and Kenneth Neal; twin sister dear Joan Henderson; granddaughters Ashley Coffey (Tim), Jillian Pacheco (Luis), Shana Birch (Jonathan); great grandchildren Isaiah, Giselle and Manuel Pacheco and Kanye and Keyon Birch; Niece LaNette and nephew Eric.
