A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 18th 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston.

Interment will follow at New Paltz Rural Cemetery.

Joan Baker-Harvey passed away in Kingston, New York on October 14, 2025. Joan was born September 18, 1950 to James Rennells, Jr and Mary Jane Rennells (Henrich) in Elmira, New York. The 3rd of 5 children her early years were spent in Elmira Heights, New York, where her father later married her step mother, Photine Barends Rennells.

Joan was an outstanding student noted for her high intelligence and integrity. She graduated from Thomas Alva  Edison High School and earned her Bachelor's  Degree from Elmira College. She lived in Plano, Texas for a few years before returning to New York and met the love of her life William J. Harvey. She continued her career working while helping others.

Joan is survived by her husband William J. Harvey Jr., her siblings Marcia Au (Lieu), Mary Lou Campbell (David), James Rennells III., Kris Barends, Kathy May (Mike), Donna Little, Cherie Mazda, Tom Barends (Toni), Ted Rennells (Tricia).

Joan was predeceased by her father James Rennells Jr., Photine Barends Rennells her step mother, Mary Jane Henrich her mother, and her step father Carl Henrich, siblings Michael Barends and Richard Rennells.
