Joan Clausi

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Her service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Joan Clausi, 80 , of East Kingston died Friday February 13, 2026 with her loving family by her side. She was born August 12, 1945 in Paterson, NJ she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Healey) Wade.

Joan spent her years caring for others, first as a babysitter for numerous children for over forty years. She then became an Aide for Cerebral Palsy of Ulster County, where she eventually retired from and then spent her years caring for her family and grandchildren. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and being everyone's biggest cheerleader, supporting everyone in all of their activities.

Joan is survived by her husband of fifty-three years Robert Clausi, her children; Joan "Cissy" Jankowski (David), Elaine Clausi Cruz (Davis Mannello III) and Andrea Clausi (Earl Mitchell,Jr.). Grandchildren; Tristia Warren, Kayla Paquin, Ryan Jankowski, Allison Jankowski, Rebecca Fay, Merandia Staats, Alyjah Cruz and Teagan Cruz, 7 great-grandchildren, along with Joan's brother and two sisters.

In addition to her parents and sister Margaret (Peg) Kolano, she was predeceased by her daughter Jackie.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Hudson Valley Hospice, especially  Katie, Jenn, and Jill for all of their support, kindness and help over the years.
