The Fleck family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 29th from 4 to 6 PM.
A funeral procession will form Friday March 1st, 9 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at Saint Joseph's Church.
Burial will follow in the New Paltz Rural Veteran's Section next to her late husband Louis.
Joan M. Fleck, 90, formerly of the Town of Ulster died Sunday February 25, 2024, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Enice Fleck. Born August 16, 1933, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Reilly) Michel.
Joan was employed as a bookkeeper for many years with Schneider's Jewelers in Kingston. Joan was an avid Gardner. She was particularly proud of her gorgeous hydrangeas. Joan loved music and could often be heard singing along with her favorite artists from the great American song book.
Joan is survived by her children Karen Antion and Elizabeth Citino, Donna and Gary Ennis and their children, Christopher, Kyle and Sean, Margaret Fleck and Paul O'Flaherty and their children Ryan, Brenden and Kaitylyn, Edward and Enice Fleck and their children, Laura, Heather, Amy and Harry, Anissa, Jimmy, Brett and Chase. And grand daughters Christi Wills and Tayler Fleck. Joan also leaves 8 great grand children. A son in law Rick Cottrell also survives.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband Louis Fleck, her daughter Kathleen Cottrell and her son Gerard F. Fleck and her sister Mildred Waters.
