Visitation for Joan will be held on Saturday February 10th from 10:30 to11:30 AM at New Progressive Baptist Church, 8 Hone Street, Kingston NY.
A HomeGoing Celebration will begin at 11:30 AM.
Joan Monique Milner, 50, of Kingston, NY, was unexpectedly called home to the Lord on January 20, 2024. Joan fought her last battle at Health Alliance Hospital before she peacefully surrendered, surrounded with the love of her family.
Joan was born on July 13, 1973 in Kingston, NY, daughter of Larry and Deborah (Palmer) Milner. She was a graduate of Kingston High School, where she found joy in being a member of the Color Guard and Choir. From an early age Joan took on a caretaker mentality, always seeking the best for her and her siblings. She went on to work retail in various capacities before circumstances led her to her ultimate career as a homemaker and "mother" to many.
Joan opened her home and heart to any and all who needed it and welcomed them as family. She was a safe haven, she was joy and laughter and for whoever needed it she was strength.
Joan enjoyed music, dancing, reading, football (Go Packers!), trips to Atlantic City, and of course the company of those she loved and held near.
In addition to her parents, she leaves to carry on her memory her husband Andre Boler; her "babies", daughters Marianna Soto & fiancé Kimberly Liriano, and Brianna Boler; grandchildren Princeton and Alia (unborn) Boler; co-parent & friend Manuel Soto; siblings: Larry Milner, Regina Gnatt, David (Brenda) Milner, Patricia (Leanord) Kinsey, Angie Milner, Jamal (Shonda) Milner, Glenda (Christopher) Milner-Vittone, James Milner, Jason Milner, her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many more relatives and friends who became family.
