Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday May 5th from 4-7PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:30 AM St. Joseph's Church in Kingston.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Montrepose Cemetery.

Joann Dowgird-Kellerman, 69, of Kingston died Sunday April 30, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Born January 5, 1954 in Manhattan, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Yaschuk) Dowgird.

Joann worked as a computer programmer and analyst for IBM for twenty eight years. After her retirement, she worked as a direct support professional for Devereux. She also held her paralegal certificate from Marist College and Masters in Finance and Accounting. While raising her son, she was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts attending camping trips and even paintball games. She was an avid reader, at one time belonging to the "Ten Book Group" where she set the record for most books taken out of the library at once. Often, Joann would check out ten books at a time to read.

Surviving is her son Erik Kellerman of Amsterdam, two grandchildren Connor Kellerman and Alyssa Shaw. A brother Gregory Dowgird and his wife Rennie of Albany; sister, Marianne  Breithaupt of Kingston. A niece Paula Marie Dowgird also survives.
