Joanne Roberts

Joanne Roberts passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023 after a long illness.

Joanne was born on December 24, 1948 in Paterson, NJ.

Joanne is predeceased by her mother, Lena Colicchio; her sisters, Beverly Clark (Peter), Patricia Roy, Phyllis Hopkins (Calvin); and her brother Thomas Shafer (Kathy). She is survived by her husband, Donald Roberts; sister, Sharon (William) Bell; her son Richard Hayman (Lisa); daughter Michelle Turturro; her grandchildren Richard III, Devin, Jadin and Cami; and her great-grandchildren Thomas, Aiden, Elias and Benjamin. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne was a lifelong resident of Orange County, NY and retired from her position as a cook at St. Luke's Hospital, a job she enjoyed because she loved to cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Joanne was a kind and caring person who would help anyone who was in need, especially her family. She asked for little in return and enjoyed the simple things in life like cooking and baking, a visit, phone call, FaceTime or text from her family. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
