John W. Coddington Sr.

John "Jack" W. Coddington, Sr., 71, of Saugerties passed away at home on Tuesday August 11, 2026. Born March 29, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward and Beatrice (Joy) Coddington. Quick.

John was an avid collector of coins and sports cards. His knowledge and appreciation of the value of coins and collectable cards enabled him to open his shop, "Jacks" on Broadway in Kingston.

He was a good father, and is survived by his children: John W. Coddington II, Adam D. Coddington, Kimberly Joy Hanna, and Steven C. Coddington. He is also survived by his 4 siblings Edward Coddington, Allan Coddington, Tina Lasher, and Kathy Connelly. 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Ronald Coddington.

Funeral and Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. www.jvleahyfh.com. Friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Tuesday August 18 from 3pm to 5pm. A funeral service will begin at 5pm.
