Friends and Family will be received at the funeral home on Friday November 29th from 4 – 7pm
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's – St. Peter's Church 160 Broadway, Kingston on Saturday November 30th at 10am.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
John W. "Jack" Sullivan passed away with his loving family at his side on November 24, 2024. John was born on May 6, 1934 in Cape Vincent, NY. The son of the late John Robert and Winifred Wiley Sullivan. He attended Cape Vincent schools and graduated from High School as Salutatorian of the class of 1952. He was a graduate of St. Lawrence University where he earned a degree of Business and Accounting in 1956. Upon graduation he moved to Kingston, NY where he joined the newly opened IBM facility. He retired 37 years later as a Senior Accountant and member of the Quarter Century Club.
On August 8, 1970 John married Rosemarie Burns in St. Peter's Church, Rome NY. Surviving besides his wife are his son, John R. Sullivan of Albany, his daughter Mary W. Sullivan of Red Hook, his sister Diane Sullivan Dana, his grand dog Summer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
John was a very active member of St. Mary's Parish as Director of C.Y.O. Basketball for 25 years. He was able to coach both his son and daughter. John was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and member for over 60 years. He has also been a staunch Right to Life supporter, attending many marches on Washington D.C.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Nuvance Health, HealthAlliance Hospital, and Hudson Valley Hospice.
