John D. Trott

John D. Trott, 72, of Hurley passed on Friday September 4, 2026 at HealthAlliance Hospital:Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston. He was born May 11, 1954 in Rockville Centre, a son of John and Noreen (Hanley) Trott.

John worked for many years as a bookstore manager on a few college campuses. He began his career at New York Institute of Technology, and then at Suny Ulster for many years. He then worked at Westchester Community College. In his earlier years, he was an avid runner who also enjoyed biking. John loved all things outdoors. He also enjoyed reading and cooking.

Surviving is his wife Lorraine Trott, son Stephen Every, sister Mary Stewart, brother Robert Trott, sister in law Susan Trott, several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no services.
