Joe owned and operated Goldpaugh Paving Inc., where he was affectionately known by his employees as "The Boss" or "The Captain". A former member of the Board of Trustees of the Sawkill Church Repair Fund, Joe was instrumental in the fundraising, repair and upkeep of St. Ann's Church in Sawkill in the 1970's. He was a former member of the Ruby Rod & Gun Club, with the Junior Members fishing trips, camping trips, and car washes. Joe donated time and material to the Kingston Point BMX. His pure love and dedication to all is what made him the man he was.
He is survived by his daughter Dawn Henderson and her husband Michael, his son Joseph "Bum" Goldpaugh and his wife Melissa, Kelly Whittaker- whom he loved as a daughter, a sister Darlene Johnson, grandchildren Michael Henderson, Jr. (Kayleigh), Alaina Henderson, Joey-Lynn Henderson (Riley McInerney), Joseph Albright and his wife Melissa, Joseph D. Goldpaugh and his wife Shawn, Daniel J. Goldpaugh, great grandchildren Kastin Jones, Ruby and Marleigh Henderson, Scottley McInerney, TJ Albright and Scottie Jay Goldpaugh.
