Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A procession will then form and proceed to the family mausoleum at Wiltwyck Cemetery.

Josephine A. Lawlis, 87, of Ulster Park died Wednesday June 10, 2026 at home with her family by her side in the care of Hospice. Born September 23, 1938 in Kingston she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Castiglione) Berardi.

A graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1957. She was employed by the family insurance business Hanstein, Berardi and Lawlis until her retirement. She was a member of the board of directors of the Benedictine Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and entertaining family and friends. She was a member of the Twaalfskill Golf Club and bowled in local bowling leagues.

Josephine is survived by her two daughters Maria Bryant and her husband Michael and Monica Dallas and her husband Chuck, her son Reginald E. Lawlis Jr. "Reggie" and his wife Alice. Her brother James J. Berardi Jr., and his wife Faith. Grandchildren; Kayla Hammerl, Steven Hammerl Jr., and Anthony Lawlis. A great grandson Aiden Hammerl and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Reginald E. Lawlis Sr., brother Eugene Berardi.

The family of Josephine wishes to express their deep gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Hudson Valley for their care and compassion.
