Juliette Mauro Krom

A Celebration of Juliette's Life will be held Saturday September 13, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM at the Robert Post Park, 515 Park Road, Kingston, NY 12401.

Juliette Mauro Krom, 77, of Port Ewen, NY, died on Friday, May 30, 2025 on Hospice surrounded by her loving family at WMC HealthAlliance hospital in Kingston, NY. Born on August 12, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.

She was the daughter of Michael and Emanuela Mauro of Glasco, NY. Juliette was a graduate of Saugerties High School. After graduating she was employed by Ulster County where she held multiple positions throughout her career: U.C. Clerks office, U.C. Veterans Agency and U.C. BOCES. Juliette enjoyed eating good Italian food and treating herself to Szechuan pork from Engs. Juliette looked forward to her special Christmas Eve dinners surrounded by her family. Juliette was also well known for her fancy manicures and stylish wardrobe. In 1985 she joined Alcoholics Anonymous and recently celebrated 40 years of sobriety. Later on in life Juliette enjoyed her trips to Pennsylvania to spend holidays and weekends with her youngest grandson, Kai. Most of all, she loved her children but being a Nonnie was her greatest joy in life.

She is survived by her Children, Raymond Krom III of Texas , Michael and wife Amanda Krom of New York and Pennsylvania; Mother Emanuela Mauro of New York (103 years old); sisters, Michele Michaels and husband, Brian of New York, Anita Wyszomirski and Husband, Andrew  of California; Grandsons, Kevin Zaborski, Devlin Zaborski, and Kai Christoper Krom; Nieces, Danielle Marshall, Lea Lunn and husband Kevin; Nephews, Luke Wyszomirski and partner Jade, Derek Michaels and wife Jocelyn; Great Nephews, Jared Freligh, Michael Marshall, Milo Michaels, Oliver Michaels; Cousin, Jared Albright (bonus son)

She was preceded in death by her Father, Michael Mauro; Son, Devlin Zaborski Sr; Nephew, Gregory Marshall. And the love of her life Joseph Cecilia.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of the Hudson Valley and the 5th floor nurses and care team at WMC HealthAlliance hospital for their compassion and care during this time.

A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date by her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, AA.org to help others live a sober life.
