Kenny's family will receive family and friends on Wednesday July 31, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
A Funeral Home Service will take place Thursday at 11:00am.
Entombment will follow in Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum.
Kenneth V. Horvers, 63, of Kingston died unexpectedly Friday July 26, 2024 at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston. Born January 6, 1961 in Kingston, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Emily (Banks) Horvers.
A master carpenter, Kenny was employed by the Kingston City School District for many years. He enjoyed hiking fishing and vacationing in Lake George.
Surviving is his daughter, Kristin Vandemark and her husband, Henry: his fiancée, Melanie Scott: his siblings, Joseph Horvers and his wife Jeanne, Debra Beal-Wrixon and her husband William, Patricia Howard and her husband James, Michael Horvers and his wife Sue, Thomas Horvers and his fiancée Kim Millian, Dennis Horvers and his wife Donna; sister-in-law Paula Horvers; his grandchildren, Alan Depace Jr. and Faith Vandemark; his great granddaughter, Nevaeh Bridgeforth and great-grandson Anari Johnson; his cats, Daisy and Willow. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Kenny's granddaughter, Hope Vandemark died in 2017. His sister Catherine Kahrs-Hill and brothers, John J. Horvers Jr., Robert Horvers and Fred Horvers as well as sister-in-law Mary Horvers and brothers-in-law, William Beal and Joseph Hill all died previously.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401.
