Kenneth W. White

Friends will be received at the funeral home  on Wednesday August 2, 2023  from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday August 3, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Remy Cemetery.

Kenneth W. White, 76, of St. Remy, NY away due to illness on Friday July 28th, 2023 at Benedictine Hospital. He was the son of Charlotte (Gromoll) White and the late George P. White, proprietors of White's Dairy Bar. Ken was a graduate of Bradley University (class of 67) and earned a Master of Science degree in Automotive Engineering.

Ken was known for his determination to overcome obstacles at any cost. He was thoughtful and caring and would always be willing to lend a hand. Ken could almost always be found at the family business or enjoying his free time helping to coach youth sporting teams. He always had a kind word or a joke to share, and loved to meet new faces.

At the age of 6, Ken was stricken with Polio. While he was told he would never walk again, the family came together to help Ken through it. With his personal determination and help from the family, Ken was soon able to walk with crutches, then a single crutch, and by the time he was an adult he could be seen running down the football field coaching The Saturns junior football team with just a leg
brace. Ken was the bane of many a medical device company as he wore out braces faster than they could be made.
