Family and friends will be received at Riverview Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A funeral service will start at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Montrepose Cemetery.
Kingston- Kieontae Kievaughn Evans Wright, born on September 27th, 2004, and passed away on his birthday on September 27th, 2025, due to an AVM of the brain at Helen Hayes Hospital. Kieontae fought bravely for 9 months, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Kieontae is survived by his loving parents, Latisha Wright and Edward Evans, his siblings Kierra Wright, Jayikquille Evans, Dashawn Dickerson Evans, Dejah Harris Evans, Tyreenie Sisco Evans, Kievaghn Evans-Wright, Shyanne Redd Evans, Jeremiah Brown Evans, Edward Evans Jr., Grandparents Richard Phillips, Edward Evans Sr., Joseph Batt, Linda Phillips, and Cynthia Williams. Great Aunts Sheryl Wright, Tracey Wright, Paulette Blake-Alonzo, Naimah Aziz, and Donna Lightfoot-Cooper. Great Uncles Kahien Wright, Michael Lightfoot, Frank Lightfoot, Robert Lightfoot, and Jerome Mann. Kieontae has a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many, many friends whom he loved as well. Kieontae has two Godfathers, George McClinton and Rakeem Dixon. Kieontae is predeceased by his grandmothers, Joann R Wright and Alda B. Lightfoot, and aunt Nancy Pump-Rivera and cousin Jarius Lightfoot, Raymond Robinson Jr, and Carlos Rivera, and Godmother Mary McClinton.
Kieontae worked as a dedicated CNA at the North East Center for Rehabilitation in Kingston, NY, as he was pursuing a Nurse Practitioner's Degree at Ulster Community College, and worked at Moonburger. Kieontae's passion included dancing, singing, eating, and bringing joy to those around him. He took great pride in his appearance and loved to go shopping and dress up. He loved to kick back and chill with his special crew and enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. Although Kieontae will be missed dearly, his spirit will live on through the music and memories he shared with everyone around him.
