A service to celebrate her life will begin at 6:00 PM.

Linda Lou Trenholm Benincasa, 82, of Lake Katrine left this earthly life on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

She was born on July 10, 1943 in Kingfield, Maine to the late James Benjamin Trenholm and Clara Louise (Dodge) Trenholm. She was proud to have grown up in the backwoods of Maine and always considered Maine her home.

On March 20, 1966 she married the cute boy across the street, Michael Benincasa Jr. Together they welcomed and raised three children. They centered their lives on family, helping others, and their faith. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a loved child-care provider to many children. Her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.

She is survived by her children; Micheal Collyer and her husband Curtis, James Benincasa and his wife Lisa, Holly Goodin and her husband Marcor. Her grandchildren: Brendan, Jessica (CJ), Andrew (Megan), Kristina (Bryan), Christopher, Daniel (Madisen), Tyler, Michael, Chloe, Emma, and Ana. Three great-grandchildren: Wells, Owen, and Marilla. One brother, Richard Trenholm. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, her cousin, Theo, and many friends.

Her husband, Michael Benincasa Jr., died December 18, 2019. Her siblings: Betty, Bud, Jean, Norm, Bob, Ted, and Joe also predeceased her.
