Linda Nicoletti , 78, of Kingston died peacefully on Monday October 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Health Alliance Hospital: Mary's Avenue Campus.

She was born July 30, 1947 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Mayone) Briody. Linda worked for the Kingston School District, primarily as a secretary in Kingston High School, retiring in 2000.

Linda was a loving and caring Mom and Nanny.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and extended family at the Jersey shore and hosting Thanksgiving gatherings in Vermont.

She loved all animals, especially cats, rescuing many strays.  In her older years she enjoyed watching the birds through her favorite picture window.

She was an avid shopper, she loved going from store to store and never missed an opportunity to stop and talk to the many people she knew from living in Kingston her entire life.

She was a great cook, often pushing food with a true Italian spirit and would often sing while cleaning up the kitchen.

Surviving are her daughters Laura Swanson and her husband Ronald and Lisa Caslin and her husband Thomas, and three grandsons who she adored; Christopher Swanson, Connor Caslin and her oldest grandson, Tyler Swanson, who became her beloved caregiver over the last few weeks of her life enabling her to stay in her home where she was most comfortable and happiest.

She is also survived by her younger brother Robert Briody and his wife Leslie, sister-in-law Nancy Mueller and her husband Dr. Joseph Mueller, and sister-in-law Diane Nicoletti as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband of 52 years,  Richard Nicoletti, brothers Frank and Alfred Briody, Jr.  and brother-in-law Anthony Nicoletti.

Linda and her family were grateful for her helpful neighbors and  the care and support from her aides Jessica and Mariah and the other kind staff at Tenbroeck Commons.
