Linda Oakley

Linda Oakley, 75, of Sawkill passed away peacefully Friday April 5, 2024 at home. She was born December  29, 1948 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Johnson.

She was a graduate of the Kingston High School Class of 1967. She began her working career at Mid-City Bowling alley (bowling being an activity the Johnson family enjoyed). She then worked for MetLife in Kingston in the microfilming department. For many years Linda worked as a Job Coach for the former Ulster Greene ARC. She was an avid NASCAR fan, particularly Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Sr., and enjoyed NASCAR collectibles. Linda loved walking by the river with her husband and her dogs.

Linda is survived by her husband David Oakley, Sr., their children David Jr., Kim, and Gus, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Helen Lanier, Tina Kendall, Steven Johnson, Flora Whispell, and Ronald Johnson.   Many nieces and nephews as well as her beloved canine companions Marty and Millie also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Jimmy, William, Kenneth Jr., and Wayne.
