Loretta E. White

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday July 6th from 11 AM until 1 PM. 

A funeral service will take place at 1 PM. 

Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. 

Loretta E. White, 82, of Saugerties died Sunday June 28, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center. She was born July 19, 1943 in Kingston, a daughter of the late Robert V. and Barbara (Mayr) Kavanagh.

Loretta worked for many years as a home healthcare aide in the Kingston area. Loretta loved family, gatherings, holidays, and events. She enjoyed recipes and cooking especially her famous applesauce cake.

Surviving are her children James White and his wife Tracy of Sandersville, Georgia, Darlene Gambino and her husband Frank of Saugerties, and Sean White and his wife Amy of Kingston. Grandchildren Heather Gambino and her husband Colin Wade, Frank Gambino and his wife Heather Gambino, Thomas Gambino and his fiancée Annaliese Tampasis, Sean Patrick White and his partner Morgan Blaney and Gabriella and her husband Chris Straker, great grandchildren Conor, Jackson and William. She is survived by her brother Robert Kavanagh and his wife Holly as well as many nieces and nephews.

Loretta was predeceased by her husband James F. White Jr. and her brother James Kavanagh.
