Louise DeCicco Kahlstorf, 94 of Fourth Ave., Kingston died peacefully at her son's home, surrounded by those she loved and who loved her dearly, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

A lifelong Kingston resident, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Stumpo DeCicco. Louise graduated from Kingston High School in 1947. After her kids went to school, she worked, for many years, at Sears Roebuck & Co. and retired after 30 years.

Louise was an avid reader and long-time fan of the soap opera General Hospital. If you knew her, you heard the story of how she met the love of her life and got to know each other for only two weeks, married him on April 25, 1954. Louise and Ronnie were married for 54 years until his death on April 21, 2008.

Louise loved her family. She was the loving mother of Patricia and her husband Stephen Berardi, Arthur Kahlstorf, Kathy and her husband Robert "Fred" Becker, and Ronald and his wife Noreen Kahlstorf; beloved grandmother of Beth (Tony) Black, Kyle (Kale) Berardi, Christopher (Jess) Becker, Robbie (Kate) Becker, Kevin (Lindsey) Becker, Nicholas (Tara) Becker and Kylan (Megan) Kahlstorf. Sister of the late Josephine Tatarzewski, Emma Mayhon, Rose Janasiewicz, Frances Hargrove, Michael J, John F., James J. and infant Joseph DeCicco. Eleven great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Ruth DeCicco, a niece, who was like a sister, Marie Amundson, and many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins.

Tricia, Kathy and Ronald want to thank our brother, Arthur, for giving our mom a place to call home away from her home for the last two years, filled with love and laughter. Our deepest appreciation, gratitude and love to her caregiver, Claudette, who truly went above and beyond with her care and compassion to our Mom over the past two years. She became a member of our family and our Mom would say "she was one in a million!"

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Hospice of the Hudson Valley.
