Margarette "Meg" Ploss

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday September 7th from 4-6 PM.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday 11 AM. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.

Margarette "Meg" Ploss, 83, of the Town of Ulster died Tuesday September 3, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1941 in Ontario, Canada a daughter of the late Herb and Frances (Trudeau) Riley. She was the stepdaughter of the late Nestor Komarnizki.

Meg was raised in Blind River, Ontario and worked in assembly at Epco and Fair-Rite Products in Walkill and as a seamstress for the Knitting Mills and Wonderly's in Kingston.

Surviving are her children Ina Noble and her husband Wayne, Wayne Ploss, Jan Miller and her husband Michael, James E. Ploss and his wife Cynthia, Jason A. Ploss and his wife Caryn. Grandchildren; Marlana, Cresandra, Joshua, Patrick, Jessica, Jennifer, Christene, Michael, Jasmine, Colin, Carlie and Janina. Fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters Linda Kubont and Karen Komarnizki as well as several nieces and nephews. Meg is also survived by her beloved canine companion Buddy.

Meg was predeceased by her husband James E. Ploss, a daughter Debra Ann Volpe, and siblings Olga Burgess, Julia Mackey,  Rueben, Walter, David and Angie Komarnizki.
