It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marguerite at the age of 92. She passed peacefully at home on the morning of Monday October 28th. She was born in Kingston on August 4th 1932, the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Nugent) McGowan.
She was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Church for over 80 years. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to remember everyone's names- her mind was sharp! She thoroughly enjoyed her trips to the casino, scratch-off lottery tickets, peanut butter cups and leopard print. She loved to crochet, and made hundred of lap robes and shawls that were donated to local nursing homes.
She is survived by her son Joseph Primo, Jr. (Susan), her daughter Debbie Turk (Terry Hamilton), her grandchildren Nicole Rizza (John Connelly), Melissa VanLeuvan (Michael), Shelby Williams (Jason), also her seven great grandchildren, her brother Michael McGowan (Jan), her sister in law Dottie McGowan as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty five years Joseph C. Primo "Bucky", her sisters Audrey Haber, Jacqueline Ball, Betty Huth and her brother Philip McGowan.
The family would like to send out a special thank you to Kathleen Beichert, Ellie Barton (Scott), Evie Borchert and Dr. Moskowitz.
