Marion Ritz

A graveside service will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 11:15am at the family plot in St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue Bronx, New York 10465.

Marion Ritz , 88, of Lake Katrine passed away peacefully at Tenbroeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Friday, December 5, 2025. Born August 24, 1937 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Florence (O'Donnell) Ritz.

Marion served her country in the U.S Air Force from 1965 to 1967. In her civilian life, she continued as a secretary to the U.S. Air Force and later worked at Bloomingdale's in Manhattan. She was a strong woman, and fiercely independent.

Marion had great pride in her city and culture. She loved watching boats pass through the Hudson River, attending Broadway shows, the food carts especially the hot dogs, and the Yankees.

Marion is survived by her cousins: Lawrence Walsh and his wife Jennifer of Saugerties, NY.,  Debra DeAngelis and her husband Kenneth of Lake Katrine, NY, William "Skippy" O'Donnell and his wife Barbara of Greenwood Lake, NY, Daniel O'Donnell of New York, NY, and Thomas DeAngelis of Lake Katrine.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Robert Ritz, her aunt Helen Deutsch, and her cousin Nancy Walsh-DeAngelis.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Esopus Unit for the care they provided Marion during her years at Tenbroeck as well as the the activities staff for keeping her entertained.
