Mark Duffy

In the early morning hours of July 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, Mark W. Duffy, 70, of Kingston, New York took his final walk home to peace and eternal rest.

Born May 15, 1956 in Tacoma, Washington. He was the son of the late John (Jack) Duffy and Marlene (Moss) Falk. Prior to moving to New York, Mark spent most of his life in the South, having resided in both Mississippi and Georgia. He was a good old Southern boy.

Mark proudly served in the United States Air Force as an Administration Specialist from 1976-79. After his military commitment, Mark worked in various career fields, most recently as an HVAC mechanic and was a member of UA-Local 21. He retired in 2019.

Mark was a diehard Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints fan, always showing his love for his teams by displaying their flags on his front porch. For a couple of decades, he traveled to all of the baseball fields in the continental United States with his best friend and side kick, Billy McNiff. Oh, the stories they told!

Mark enjoyed hosting gatherings at his home, from his annual AFC/NFC play-off party to kicking back watching sporting events and shooting pool with his buddies, Tom, Vinnie, Jamie, Ken and Bob. Mark was always the life of the party and he will forever be loved by those who knew him.

Surviving are his wife and soulmate, Kathy Howard Duffy, their sons, Adam Duffy, Michael Braun and his wife, Kaleigh, Christopher Braun and their daughter, Ryan Duffy, their grandchildren Seth Marquart, Aila Dart, Jocelyn Braun, Aleya Dart, Lilianah Braun, Alden Braun and Kian Braun, his beloved sister Linda Sneed and her husband Arkel, brother Brian and wife Pam and his brother Steve, his mother-in- law, Peggy Howard, sister- in- law, Teresa (Tree) Howard and his best friend Billy McNiff and his wife Kelly. Many nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mark is predeceased by his brother John Duffy and his father-in-law Thomas J. Howard.

As per Mark’s written request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held in the future.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Hospice, in particular Mark’s nurse Brittany, for the compassionate care provided, not only to Mark, but to the family as well. They would also like to thank their friends for the outpouring of love and support during Mark’s transition.

The family asks when you think of Mark, you smile and remember “WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE”.
