Marlene Feldman

Friends will be received at the Montrepose Cemetery at 11 am Wednesday.

Marlene Feldman, formerly of Kingston, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026. She was 93. Marlene was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Abraham Feldman, a Kingston native. She was the daughter of the late Goldie and Benjamin Dworkin, and is survived by her children: Lisa Feldman and her husband Stephen; Nate Feldman; and Bruce Feldman and his wife Christie; and by her grandchildren, Allie Alder, Ainsley Alder, Benjamin Feldman and Riley Feldman.

Marlene grew up in Brooklyn as the middle child of three daughters. After graduating from high school, she worked in the fashion industry in New York City as a dress designer before meeting Abe Feldman, a doctor, who served in the US Navy. They were married in 1959 and settled in Kingston, where they raised their three children.

Marlene later moved to Wellington, FL, where she married Edwin Virshup, who also loved to golf and play bridge. Ed passed in 2001 of complications from cancer.

Marlene was a long time member of Wiltwyck Golf Club, and an avid golfer, who also loved to play tennis and bridge. In addition, she helped run the junior golf program at Wiltwyck for many years, and had two holes-in-one after she turned 75. Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with her grandchildren.
