Mary (Doll) Alecca

Mary (Doll) Alecca of the Town of Ulster passed away peacefully on Friday August 1, 2025 at HealthAlliance Hospital:Mary's Avenue Campus. She was born August 6, 1927 in Kingston, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore (Jerry) and Theresa (Decicco) Mayone.

She was an adoring faithful wife to her husband Michael (Mickey) whom she married on September 20, 1953. A loving mother to two boys Richard and Thomas and was loyal, caring and kind to family, friends and neighbors.

She grew up and was raised in Glasco, NY and stayed in touch with many family and friends from her childhood. She also very much enjoyed her times spent in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was a waitress for many restaurants that are no longer in business but were very, very active in their heyday.

She was predeceased by her husband Michael (Mickey) (1996), sister Rose Emma (2013), and her half brother Joe (Pepe) (1977).

She is survived by her sons Richard (Glenna) of the Town of Ulster and Thomas of Kingston, NY. Two brothers Charles of Glasco, NY and Jerry of Suches, GA. A brother in law, three sisters in law and many nephews and nieces also survive.

As per her wishes there will be no calling hours. There will be a Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday August 7, 2025 at St. Catherine Laboure in Lake Katrine and then interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Kingston, NY. Donations in her name may be made out to Hospice-374 Violet Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
