Family and Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday November 15th from 10 AM until 1 PM.

A funeral procession will form and proceed to St. Mary's Church for The Liturgy of the Word.

Cremation will be held privately and interment will take place at a later date in Omar Cemetery in the Thousand Islands.

Mary-Ann Parker, former Alderwoman of the City of Kingston died unexpectedly Sunday November 10, 2024 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston. She was born June 16, 1948 in Kingston, a daughter of the late William Tubby and Rita Kelder.

Mary-Ann married the love of her life, Roy Stephen "Steve" Parker on April 11, 1971 in Kingston at St. Mary's Church. She and Steve spent summers at Reeds Point on Fishers Landing in the Thousand Islands. Known for her dedication as a public servant to her local community, Mary-Ann served in Kingston's political arena for over twenty years, spending a majority of her time as an advocate and Alderwoman of the Fourth ward, and Minority Leader on the Kingston Common Council.  She was a member of the Ulster County Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. In her earlier years, she was a program leader at the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston. Mary-Ann volunteered for the parent association at Kingston Point BMX for many years. She will be lovingly remembered as a thoughtful and giving person, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Surviving are her two sons, Robert (Kimberly) Parker of Schaghticoke, NY and Patrick Parker and his fiancé, Nancy Roy of Kingston, NY, three grandchildren Brayden, Emma and Camden Parker, sister Audrey Albright, brother Thomas Tubby, lifelong friend Laverne Boos, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Steve, as well as siblings William, Robert, and Bruce Tubby and Vincent Kelder.

The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mary-Ann's name, be sent to Kingston Point BMX at PO Box 1683, Kingston NY 12401.
