Mary "Sissy" Dermody

Mary "Sissy" Dermody, 67, of Kingston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Health Alliance Hospital.

She was born in Kingston, NY on February 2, 1956, the daughter of the late Alton and Helen (Ellsworth) Snyder.

Sissy had an infectious laugh and caring heart. She was a huge fan of Elvis, and she loved to buy new pocketbooks, solve crossword puzzles, and watch her ghost hunter shows and soap operas. She adored her family and friends, and her two cats. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sissy is survived by her children, Al (Linda) Fraker of North Carolina, James (Jennifer) Landerway Jr. of Florida, and Robert (Meghan) Landerway of Lake Katrine, six grandchildren, Celia, Zachary, Alexander, Hailey, Robert, and Liam, one great granddaughter Alaia, her siblings, Patricia Lewis, Linda Carhart, Edith Snyder, Alton "Bubbie" Snyder,  Juanita "Cookie" Gemmell, Norman "Richie" Snyder, Gloria Snyder, Carol Countryman, Bonnie Klonowski, Margaret Miller, and Terry Snyder, and lifelong friends Doug MacQuin and James Landerway Sr. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Bruce Synder and Edward Snyder.

Cremation was held privately.
