Mary P. Hayes

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 14th from 11 AM until 12 noon at the New Central Baptist Church in Kingston.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 12 noon.

Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.

Mary P. Hayes, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday October 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 17, 1944 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Mary (Hayes) Rattely.

Mary worked for over Forty-Six years for Rotron Industries, in a variety of capacities. Most notably as a machine operator. She was a lifetime member of the New Central Baptist Church in Kingston, serving on the usher board, volunteering as a missionary, participating in bible school, and planning and organizing bus trips. Mary loved playing cards and bowling.

Surviving is her son Maurice "Blan" Hayes and his wife Lichele of Mt Marion, NY, beloved grandchildren Trishann Hayes of Phoenix, AZ , Jordann Hayes of Mt Marion, NY, siblings  Elaine Tharrington of Texas and Betsy "Laverne" Rattely of Kingston. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mary is predeceased by her mother Mary Madelyn Rattely, her grandmother Sadie Sheppard, and two brothers William Wesley (Butch) Rattely and Dennis Lee Rattely.
