Mary Christine Walker, 82
Ran into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2025.

Mary was born to Elmer Wittmaier and Helen Vance-Boyd in Missouri. She was later raised by her stepfather, Raymond Nelson, in California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, and her brother, David Nelson of Colorado.

Mary is survived by her three beloved daughters:

Jamine (Mike) Haight of Michigan
Sandy Wooden-Brewer of Tennessee
Wendy (Jim) Talmadge of New York

She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Kristy Campfield (Toby Becker), Brandon (Lindsey) Garrett, Candice (Dan) Bouche, David (Michelle) Haight, Robert Southards, Daniel Haight, Tim Talmadge (Dawn Rocco), Justin (Brittany) Draper, Colton Metteer (Mark Adams), and Caden Brewer.

She was also blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mary pursued her education at Kee Business College in Norfolk, Virginia, where she earned a certificate in Accounting with Computer Applications. She was a longtime and devoted member of Victory Worship Church in Norfolk before relocating to New York. Most recently, she made her home in Kingston, NY. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A dedicated prayer warrior, Mary was known for lifting others in prayer and serving anyone in need. Her love for the Lord was evident in her actions, and her compassion touched countless lives.

Family and friendship were the heart of Mary's world. She delighted in spending time with her loved ones and cherished moments of connection, laughter, and games. She organized "Tuesday Girl's Night" with close friends, where evenings were spent enjoying board games and game shows. Mary had a remarkable ability to form lasting friendships, never meeting a stranger. In Kingston, she was embraced by a circle of caring neighbors—Marilyn, Evelyn, Little Evy, Boo, and Gene—who held a special place in her heart.

Mary's playful spirit extended to her great-grandchildren, with whom she shared a love of movies, games, coloring, and especially baking. Those kitchen moments, filled with flour, laughter, and sweet treats, were some of her most treasured.

She also adored animals and had many cherished pets over the years, most especially her beloved Pomeranian, Chance. Her patio became a sanctuary for birds and squirrels, who were always greeted with treats and affection.

Mary touched many lives with her warmth, generosity, and faith. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

As per her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
