Michael Marks , beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother passed away on November 28th, 2025. A dedicated truck driver by trade, Michael was known for his strong work ethic, warm spirit, and the steady dependability that defined both his career and the way he lived his life.
Michael was born on July, 3, 1958 to Maude Ella Dann and Clarence James Marks in the Village of Wayland, NY. His journey would later bring him to Kingston, NY, in 1982. A move that changed everything. There, he met the love of his life, Georgianna, a.k.a. Bunny, and the two would marry on October 9, 1983. Their marriage was a union marked by devotion, resilience, and deep companionship.
Michael enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Fishing, camping, and cooking were among his greatest joys. Every summer, he made cherished memories by bringing his children and grandchildren camping, creating traditions filled with laughter, stories by the fire, and the kind of love that lasts a lifetime.
Michael was immensely proud of his family. Along with the children he raised, in 2022 he discovered that he had an adult biological son, Robert Dubios and the two met. A moment that brought him profound joy and completeness.
He is survived by his wife, Bunny Marks, the children he raised Stacy Cooper, John Cooper, Kelli Veytia, Paul Veytia, his biological son Robert Dubios, his siblings Carl Kruchten, Carleen Kruchten, Sue Stark, Joe Traver, and Cheri Kirin, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Maude Dann and Clarence James, his brother, Gene Dann, and Amber Zachery, his niece. His siblings, like his children and grandchildren, were integral threads in the fabric of his life.
Michael's legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love. He will be remembered for the miles he traveled, the meals he cooked, the campsites he filled with joy, and the family he cherished above all else.
May he rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring or summer of 2026.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the family members Carl Kruchten, Sue Stark, and Shaun Cooper for traveling from out of state or from a distance to visit Michael over the last few months. The family would also like to give a special thanks to best friends Gary and Joann Stokes for all of their help and support during Michael's final week.
