MICHAEL  C.  MODEEN

Of Kingston, New York. Michael died at Westchester County Medical Center on Sunday January 26, 2025. He was sixty five.

Born in Kingston, June 15 1959 a son of the late Henry B. and Concetta (Castiglione) Modeen.

Michael was a 1978 graduate of Kingston High School. He later graduated from Dutchess Community College.

He spent much of his career as a Machinist, employed as a supervisor with National Micronetics and Elna Ferrite Laboratories.  Later, Michael spent several years working at Kennedy Space Center.

An extremely private man, Michael was best known for his calmness, kindness and desire to put others before himself. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, and was an immensely proud "Poppy" to his grandchildren. An exceptionally handy man, he could often be found fixing just about anything around the house, or building something for fun. Michael also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, finding solace and joy in fishing.

Surviving are his wife,  Maria (Conormon) Modeen. Children; Benjamin and his wife Caroline, Adam, Cory and his wife Ashley, Casey, and Marissa. His siblings; Hank and his wife Grazyna Modeen, Vinnie and his wife Kathleen Modeen, Robert Modeen and Judith and her husband Charles Weiss.

Five grandchildren; Isla, Liberty, Dominick, Ella and Mason.
