Nancy Rutan

Nancy Rutan, born February 3, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord after a life filled with love, warmth, and compassion. Raised in Long Branch, NJ, and a resident of Port Ewen, NY for the past 24 years, Nancy was known for her gentle spirit, her kindness toward others, and the quiet strength with which she faced life’s challenges.

She was the beloved daughter of John and Rose Lindaman, who preceded her in death. Nancy is survived by her older sisters, Rosemary Goodman of Trinidad, CO and Laraine Lindaman of Kingston, NY.

Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her three children—Michele Conner Shephard of Kingston, NY; Michael Rutan of East Windsor, NJ, and his spouse Lara; and Lindsey Proper of High Falls, NY, and her spouse Jeff. She was a proud and loving grandmother to William Conner, Emma Conner, and Brayden Soura, all of Kingston, NY. Nancy cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren, finding deep purpose and happiness in their lives.

A woman of quiet grace, Nancy brought love, comfort, and joy to everyone she loved. Her family takes comfort knowing she is reunited with her parents and held safely in His care. Her gentle presence, steady love, and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
