Nancy Walsh-DeAngelis – April 28, 1944 – August 6, 2023

Our dear mother Nancy Walsh-DeAngelis sadly passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 79. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of her community in Red Hook, NY. She retired from the Salvation Army in Kingston NY where she was the store manager for many years. Prior to that she worked for The Office of The Aging and Northern Dutchess Hospital in Dutchess County and St. Christopher's Rectory in Red Hook, NY.

Nancy was born in the Bronx in NYC to William and Helen Deutsch (Marhan). She was the loving mother to Lawrence (wife Jennifer) of Saugerties NY, and Debra who she called Bo (husband Kenneth) of Lake Katrine NY. She was so proud of her grandchildren  Katherine DeAngelis, Vanessa Walsh, Dakotah Walsh, Christopher Walsh and her great granddaughter Blake Rose Hudson.

In addition to her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, Nancy is survived by her loving husband Thomas DeAngelis of thirty-five years, and their beloved dog Pinky. Together they were founders and owners of Diamonds DJ & Karaoke business. They were well known in their community for always helping families in need and organizing fundraisers for those who were medically ill. Nancy loved people and would make a friend wherever she would go. When she walked into a room, she was so full of life and could make any situation a happy one. Never shy and always strong and confident in all that she did. In her earlier years in her spare time, she produced and hosted a local access TV show called Remarkable Women and was a Real Estate Agent part time.

Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents and her best friend -sister Lorraine Fiscina and her husband Michael, and her in-laws Thomas and Shirley DeAngelis.

Friends are invited to honor Nancy at her memorial service at Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home located at 27 Smith Avenue Kingston NY on Friday August 11, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM.  Prayers will be offered by Father Bill Scafidi at 7 PM. Her final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery in Queens NY at a later date…..To Mom, 143 forever.
