Nicholas "Nick" Morris 80, of Kingston died Tuesday April 23, 2024 peacefully surrounded by his friends. Born December 28, 1943 in Kingston, the son of the late John "Jack" and Josephine (Chmura) Morris.
Nick was a wedding photographer early in his career, leading to a lifelong love of taking many pictures of his family and friends. He loved to line dance, enjoyed a good game of cards with his friends, enjoyed playing golf and played a mean game of pool in his younger years. He really appreciated fresh fruit and a good Italian dinner, especially the dessert. Nick was incredibly generous in many ways, going out of his way to help those he knew and loved as well as acquaintances and even complete strangers. He was a very social person with a great sense of humor, who valued the company of others. He frequently went "visiting" and loved to play good-natured pranks. Nick's love of life was infectious and he positively impacted anyone that spent time with him. He will be fondly remembered by many.
Surviving is his wife of fifty-nine years, Rose (Bruno) Morris; his sons, Nicholas E. Morris and his wife Melissa (Riggins) of Cornwall, NY, Brian J. Morris and his wife Marjorie (Llacuna) of Philadelphia, PA, Stephen J. Morris of Baltimore, MD; his grandchildren, Alison, Erin, Brandon and Max; his sister-in-law, Louise Bruno and her partner, Robert Alario; his aunts, Barbara Elliott and Frances Kent; his uncle Jack Nicholas. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Nick was deceased previously by his brothers, John "Jackie" and Robert "Bob" Morris.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
