Oliver A. Rawlins

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at The Funeral Home, Tuesday at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.

Friends may visit prior to the service at 10:00 AM.

Oliver A. Rawlins, 72 , of  Albany Avenue died at  HealthAlliance Hospital  Kingston NY on Friday May 17, 2024. Born in Barbados February 25, 1952 a son of the late Chesterfield and Cynthia I. (Williams) Rawlins.

Oliver was employed as a Certified Carpenter, working for the union in New York City and the state of New Jersey. He loved watching sports especially basketball, cooking food and spending time with his family.

Oliver leaves to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-two years Shirley A. Rawlins. Children; Darren Rawlins and his wife  Treena, Shanice Carney and her husband Steve, Carlos Rawlins and his wife Carla, stepchildren; Jessica McNabb, Kym Peterson, Sandy McNabb, and Cindy McNabb. Grandchildren Antigoñe, Azriella, Azariah Rawlins, Treshon Rawlins, Aniya Benardez, Stephanie and Simone Carney, Matthew, Ariella, and Michael Rawlins (Priscilla), Shontell, Jessie, Joshua, Orion, Damari, and Tobias McNabb. Brothers and sisters Glenn, Peter and Cecil Rawlins, Deborah Polius as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Carlos Rawlins, brothers Michael Delizle Rawlins and Ricky (Ricardo Tyrone) Rawlins.
