Patricia Amelia Williams, age 87 , died on November 25, 2025 after a lengthy illness at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Katrine. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Born on June 4, 1938 in Kingston, Patricia was the daughter of John and Rose Simmons. She was a long time resident of Hurley and former resident of Modena.
Patricia was a graduate of Kingston High School. She was previously employed in the tax office in Kingston. She also previously worked for the former Montgomery Wards in Poughkeepsie in the catalog department and Peter Pan Nursery School in Wappingers Falls. She married the love of her life Geoffrey Williams on Feb. 14, 1957 in Hereford, England where Geoffrey was born and stationed in the British Royal Navy. Geoffrey predeceased her in 2022. Patricia loved to collect teddy bears including many beenie bears. She was an avid reader, especially novels by her favorite author Danielle Steel. She enjoyed puzzles and knitting. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her son Jeffrey T. Williams and his wife Rosemarie of Poughkeepsie, son Edward Williams and his wife Sheila of Pleasant Valley, sister Rose Grant of Kingston, nephew Steven Hopper, five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Her daughter Kim E. Williams of Kingston pre-deceased her in 2020.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ten Broeck, especially Carly and Melissa for the wonderful care Patricia received.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hudson Valley Alzheimer's Association. In keeping with her directives services will be private.
