Patricia June Boyce

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 4-7 p.m.

A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 9 at 10 a.m. and a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery

Patricia June (Carboni) Boyce

Patricia June Carboni began her life on June 28, 1928. Born to Angelo and Helen (Rodden) Carboni in Kingston, New York, she passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus in Heaven at the age of 97 on December 2, 2025 with family at her side.

Patricia spent her entire life in Kingston. She graduated from Kingston High School, then began her first job at J.J. Newberry's. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Donald Boyce, whom she married on May 18, 1947. They started their family soon after, and in the next nine years had three children which led to the ever-growing Boyce Clan of today: Gail Russo (husband Richard), Kathleen Tiano (husband Frank), and Donald Boyce (wife Cathy). Years later, she was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Dean Russo (wife Andrea), Burke Russo, and Lance Russo (and Audrey Weiner); Frank Tiano (wife Kerri), Mark Tiano (wife Samantha); Bethany Tallerman (husband Cole) and D. Zachary Boyce (wife Amanda). Patricia was then blessed with 6 great-grandchildren: Karinsa Russo (fiance Cody) and Leanne Russo; Mason Tiano and Madisyn Tiano; Sophia and Brody Boyce and Baby  Boy Boyce expected on January 21.

From the 1950's, Patricia was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Kingston, and in her younger years, she was a volunteer in the Benedictine Hospital Ladies Auxiliary as well as the "Y Wives" of the YWCA. She was a member of the SUNY Ulster Retired and Senior Volunteer Program where she volunteered at the Kingston Visitors Center at the Train Museum. She very much enjoyed the years that she was employed as a lunchroom monitor at the J. Watson Bailey Jr. High School in Kingston.

As the beloved matriarch of the Boyce family, she delighted in each and every family landmark celebrations, holidays, birthdays and the family the vacations which began in the 1950's in Atlantic City and later the one or two week stays at the Lake Vanare Cabin Camp in the Adirondacks over 50+ years. She was an avid sunworshipper and loved the three-month winter stays in Florida reconnecting with "Florida friends" every year and taking twice-daily strolls along the oceanside every day.

Patricia's family would like to extend our gratitude to everyone in the caring staff of Ulster County Hospice over these many months. We especially want to thank Patricia's "earthly guardian angel," Sophie, for giving so much of herself and so gently and lovingly caring for Patricia's 24/7 needs.  Patricia's entire family owes a huge debt of love and gratitude to Sophie. We consider her a true friend and part of our family, wherever her work takes her in the years to come.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Ulster County Hospice, or Forsythe Park Nature Center.
